L’Umbria di Beverly Pepper è il primo documentario della trilogia. Racconta la vita di Beverly in Italia. Realizzato grazie alla Regione Umbria, è dedicato alle ricchezze della terra umbra e al percorso museale a cielo aperto composto dalle opere che, negli ultimi sessant’anni, Beverly ha realizzato a Spoleto, Assisi, Brufa, Panicale, Terni, Perugia, Todi.
Il secondo documentario è la naturale prosecuzione del primo capitolo. La Piazza. Il Parco di Beverly Pepper a Todi, riguarda il primo parco monotematico di scultura contemporanea in Umbria e il primo dell’artista nel mondo, creato nel rinnovato Parco della Rocca con le 23 opere da lei donate alla Città di Todi.
Il terzo documentario chiude il ciclo dei grandi lavori che Beverly ha progettato negli ultimi 5 anni. Amphisculpture, racconta l’opera di land art donata dall’artista statunitense alla città dell’Aquila e realizzata al Parco del Sole nel post terremoto.

L’umbria di Beverly Pepper is the first documentary about the life in Italy of Beverly Pepper. Beverly Pepper
Beverly Pepper (Brooklyn 1922), studia design pubblicitario, fotografia e design industriale a Brooklyn e a Parigi. All’inizio degli anni Sessanta inizia a scolpire realizzando prima piccole forme in legno e argilla e poi metallo lavorando nelle officine Italsider di Piombino. Negli anni seguenti sperimenta vere e proprie forme di connectiv-art e progetti ambientali arrivando poi alle sue grandi opere di land-art. Ha partecipato a innumerevoli esposizioni collettive e personali e le sue opere sono nei principali musei del mondo. Dal 1972 vive e lavora a Todi.

Beverly Pepper (Brooklyn 1922), studied advertising design, photography and industrial design in Brooklyn and Paris. In the early 60s she began sculpting creating first small forms in wood and clay and then metal pieces working in the Italsider in Piombino. In the following years, she experimented with real forms of connected art and environmental projects, then great earth-art works. She has participated in innumerable collective and personal exhibitions and her works are present in the main museums of the world. Since 1972 she lives and works in Todi.

La piazza racconta la donazione di 23 opere che Beverly Pepper ha fatto alla città di Todi per la creazione di un parco a lei dedicato.
A quarant'anni dalla prima installazione delle Todi columns, tornano nella piazza della città le sculture che fecero scalpore nel 1969, come installazione temporanea durante la sistemazione del parco.
E l'occasione per i tuderti di confrontarsi nuovamente con l'arte contemporanea e con una artista che è ormai diventata una concittadina e un'amica.
A quarant'anni dalla prima installazione delle Todi columns, tornano nella piazza della città le sculture che fecero scalpore nel 1969, come installazione temporanea durante la sistemazione del parco.
